Responsibilities
As a Copper Splicer, you will support all phases of utility construction for various types of telecom projects. You believe in doing the job right. Being the best. And you're up for the challenge.
In addition, you will:
Perform Copper cold splicing and activation; Install and test pressurized and non-pressurized enclosures
Install and dress Copper cables, both vertically and horizontally
Test and troubleshoot Copper cables by utilizing all forms of testing equipment
Forward/reverse sweep and network verification
Maintain Copper asset inventory and splicing records
Splice Copper line extenders and drops
Lockbox installation and activation


Qualifications
About You:
Safety is a part of your day to day
You have a track record of completing work with a high level of quality
You have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to your work
You are looking for long-term projects
You enjoy getting your hands dirty with your team
You have a valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record
You have at least 1-3 years of splicing and sweeping
You are comfortable working on a ladder or bucket truck
You can read and comprehend schematics, and preparation of all job-related work reports (i.e.: red-lined cable plans. schematics, throw sheets, and test results).
You have experience using electronic test equipment.
You have knowledge of cable size, gauge, count, and colors of direction.

MOS Codes B05A, 3D157, 6423, B05A, and 5699 relate well to this position.
