Order#: NY1526732 Police Fleet Laborer, PT The Town of Webster is seeking candidates for a Police Fleet Laborer, PT position. This role is essential to ensure the Webster Police Department's fleet of vehicles are safe, downtime is limited and each vehicle ready for patrol use. Schedule is year-round Monday - Friday, 20 hours per week. Typical Duties: (including by not limited to) o Preventative Maintenance o Routine inspection of vehicles o Maintain records of vehicle repairs, maintenance schedules and service history o Oversee schedule for oil changes, tire rotations, Winter/Summer tire changes, inspections and fluid checks o Windshield wiper replacement o Fill washer fluid reservoirs o Check tire air pressure o Clean interior & exterior of vehicles o Fill vehicles with fuel o Emergency Service o Communicate with officers and department personnel about vehicle issues and coordinate the repair work with service repair shop on contract o Transport vehicles to the Radio Center for updates and repairs o Transport vehicles to the upfit shop on contract for police equipment repairs and upfitting o Inventory & Management of Parts & Accessories o Order and maintain supply of parts, fluids and tools needed for minor repairs and maintenance o Moving office furniture and room set up o Grounds maintenance including shoveling, salting, weeding and grass cutting Preferred Qualifications: o Experience with vehicle maintenance and record keeping o Clean NYS driver license o Ability to follow written and oral instructions o Ability to work independently o Ability to communicate effectively o Must be dependable Minimum Qualifications: o Must be at least 18 years of age
