Program Summary
KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Today, we have a workforce of over 6,000 people representing 40 nationalities who perform work on the contract in 14 countries.
Job Summary
The Generator General Foreman assists the Superintendent by providing input to identify key success factors for the Power Generator crew. This role provides leadership to create the organizational structure and processes required to fully execute Power Generator services, ensuring quality, subcontractor performance, and cost efficiency. The Foreman evaluates service execution for compliance with contracts, design data, schedules, cost budgets, and quality standards, advising the project team on status, issues, impacts, risks, and cost influence factors.
Roles and Responsibilities
Assist the Superintendent in identifying key success factors for the Power Generator crew.
Provide leadership to create processes required to fully execute Power Generator services.
Ensure the execution of Power Generator services, maintaining quality and cost efficiency.
Direct generator mechanics across Poland to ensure comprehensive coverage of all needs.
Evaluate service execution for compliance with contracts, design data, schedules, cost budgets, and quality standards.
Advise the project team on status, issues, impacts, risks, and cost influence factors.
Maintain short-range look-ahead plans and discuss deviations with the Superintendent.
Review and monitor cost and man-hour budgets for the installation process.
Develop equipment and tool requirement plans and review them with the Superintendent.
Oversee and provide guidance for the Power Generation program in Poland.
Manage parts procurement to maintain optimal stock levels.
Validate all preventive maintenance (PM), services, and repairs on generators and work orders conducted by mechanics and subcontractors.
Approve or reject repair estimates from subcontractors.
Conduct technical inspections and operational checks on generators and light sets at various camps across Poland.
Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including the use of required personal protective equipment.
Follow HAZMAT regulations for waste materials from generators.
Offer guidance to subcontracted workers during repair tasks.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
High school diploma, preferably in a technical or industrial field and minimum of 5 years of experience
Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience.
Proficient in working with various generators and engines
Experience and technical knowledge related to US and European Voltage systems of various generator types.
Skilled in collaborating with managing teams from various countries.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
Knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to enforce them to maintain a safe work environment.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications related to Generator installations.
Excellent communication skills.
Knowledge of all relevant safety standards related to the area of responsibility.
Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and work in tight spaces, including climbing, reaching, crawling, and bending.
Intermediate English proficiency: Must be able to speak, read, and write in English at an intermediate level.
Fluency in Romanian language and possessing an unrestricted right to work and reside in Romania.
Valid driver's license required.
