1. Overall purpose of this position:
Provide leadership that will develop leads and employees within the Decoration Department to accurately and timely process customer’s orders. Oversee the picking, replenishing, checking, packing, manifesting, and loading stages of the decoration process to meet business objectives.
2. Major activities, which must be performed in order to carry out the purpose of the position as described above:
A. Monitor and manage daily volume
B. Evaluate employee performance and provide consistent, timely feedback
C. Set and communicate clear goals and expectations for the departments and employees
D. Implement, support, and ensure the success of company initiatives within the departments.
E. Work with other members of the Outbound Department to meet overall goals and objectives (LPH, cut-off, fulfillment, accuracy)
F. Administer employee performance appraisals and provide action plans/training where necessary
G. Assure that established company procedures and policies are being adhered to and applied consistently.
H. Assure employees meet all company and department standards through regular review of productivity and activity audits. Provide constructive criticism as needed.
I. Assure compliance of safety and environmental policies and regulations.
J. Ensure that proper physical and human resources are in place to accomplish goals. Provide staffing recommendations.
K. Develop employee competencies through on-going cross training and needs assessment
L. Participate in weekly staff meeting for continuous improvement.
M. Insure UPS/EDI uploads are accurate and timely
N. Continually examine processes to drive out unnecessary costs.
O. Monitor employee time punches and attendance records.
P. Insure employees have the proper tools to perform their jobs.
Q. Serve as a member of the Distribution team providing assistance as needed.
