Service Technician
General Purpose of The Job:
Perform on-site and in-house installation, service, training and product support for Omega TMM products. This position is key to the interface between Omega TMM and our customer. This role interacts with all facets of the organization to meet our ideal customer experience.
Essential Responsibilities:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned by the Service Manager.
Responsible for on-site installations, warranty and non-warranty service calls, customer training, product upgrades and in-house product repairs of Presetter products to meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations.
Be available for travel whenever necessary as scheduled by Service Manager.
Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions in a timely manner.
Produce timely and detailed service reports.
Engage in ongoing training to retain a competent level of knowledge to effectively execute the responsibilities of the position.
Provide on-site and in-house product and technical support to the Omega Sales Team and its representatives.
Support continuous service training and support of worldwide service organization.
Report and communicate with the Service Manager all issues beyond the scope of the standard reports that impact customer service and/or internal product, service and operational efficiency.
Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that shows respect for customers and co-workers.
Responsible for adhering to and maintaining all applicable ISO procedures. This includes active participation in the internal and external audits when necessary.
Build strong customer relationships.
Requirements:
Valid drivers license, proof of insurance and a clean driving record
Approximately 75% travel
Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment
English literacy, bi-lingual in Spanish preferred
Ability to be flexible with work hours as the customers schedule changes
Ability to apply concepts of basic geometry
Technical degree or certification preferred
