Job Description

The shipping clerks perform multiple clerical functions and support the shipping office; to prepare the outbound paperwork that accompanies the stores? deliveries.


Essential Duties:

- Prepare envelopes and general delivery receipts at least one day in advance to eliminate delays in processing store packets upon load completion
- Complete the general delivery receipts with the store number, date, pallet quantities and seals issued, etc.
- Check all invoices to assure proper item selection
- Verify selection copy of invoice and store copy of invoice agree
- Record by commodity all red-lines on separate NS sheets and to submit these sheets to Inventory Control to credit the stores for product they did not receive
- Finalize and marry (if necessary) store packets according to the stores listed on the loading diagrams
- Sort store mail/pouches and distribute accordingly.
