Primary Duties for Norwich Warehouse Inbound Processing Associate:
- Handles all product returns to include re-boxing, returning to proper location after processing, returning to stock or returning to vendor.
- Pack product in the proper bag/box using tape machines, heat sealers and any other packaging equipment as needed.
- Verifies quantities, cartons, and description of product before packaging, using the computer system and current catalogs for best resources.
- Uses knowledge of product to recognize defects and damages.
- Cross trains in other areas of the company to transfer during peak times of the business.
- Perform general warehouse housekeeping of area as directed.
- Follow all departmental procedures and established policies for effective
operation of the processing area.
- Other duties or assignments as may be required by supervision or management.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED certificate
- Accurate measurement skills including knowledge of box/carton sizes
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Computer literate
- Able to work on multiple projects and prioritize work
- Must be able to perform lifting (up to 30lbs) on a regular basis, bending and twisting
- Must be able to work standing or sitting for long periods of time.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Must be able to operate pallet jack and hand truck in accordance with all safety procedures
