Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SharePoint Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with SharePoint Online and SharePoint on-premises environments. The role involves managing and administering SharePoint Online at the tenant level, integrating with Microsoft 365 services, and ensuring data governance and security.
Key Responsibilities:
SharePoint Online Administration:
- Manage site collections at the tenant level.
- Design and implement hub site architectures.
- Utilize SPO Management Shell, PnP PowerShell module, and Microsoft Graph for tenant management.
- Oversee tenant-level external sharing and prevent oversharing.
- Administer and configure Microsoft Search and understand Microsoft Graph Search connectors.
- Integrate SharePoint Online with M365 Purview for data governance and information management.
- Implement data loss prevention, data retention, and sensitivity labels.
- Manage Microsoft 365 backup and archive for SharePoint Online.
- Utilize SharePoint Advanced Management (SAM) Add-on features and controls.
SharePoint On-Premises Administration:
- Possess strong knowledge of SharePoint 2016 or 2019, or SharePoint Server Subscription topology.
- Upgrade SharePoint 2016 or 2019 and deploy cumulative updates.
- Troubleshoot SharePoint on-premises issues using ULS logs, network traces, and SQL logs.
- Investigate complex SharePoint issues related to performance, administration, site configuration, and customization.
- Understand SharePoint administration principles using SharePoint Central Admin and SQL Management Studio.
- Have good general networking knowledge, including DNS, TCP/IP, and subnetting.
- Be familiar with web standards and technologies, such as HTTP, JavaScript, CSS, and XML.
- Apply SQL best practices for supporting SharePoint farms.
- Migrate SharePoint on-premises to SharePoint Online.
- Customize SharePoint branding and options.
- Redevelop legacy SharePoint Designer customizations, including 2010 workflows to Power Automate flows.
- Script using SharePoint PowerShell.
- Remediate legacy full-trust code customizations to client-side solutions.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in SharePoint Online and on-premises administration.
- Strong understanding of data governance and security practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with SharePoint Online services and integrations as well as SharePoint Server on-premises.
- Knowledge of Viva Connections and Viva Engage administration.
- Familiarity with PowerShell scripting and automation.
Salary: between 110-137k gross/year $
