Amentum is currently seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to join our award winning team.                                   
 
Responsibilities:

- To support analysis of software performance characteristics in the software development life and test cycle, to measure the computer processing time usage and come up with better methods of disk space utilization, network loading and throughout.
- To enable designing, coding and maintenance of software support tools and models
- To support the analysis of tools to aid in the software development process including test automation tools, code coverage tools, and memory checking tools.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s of Science Degree (in Computer Science, Math, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a Related Field) +4 years experience OR Masters of Science 2 years experience from a School of Engineering.

- Possession or desire to pursue a Comptia Security+ or equivalent Certification or ability to obtain within 1 month of start
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active SECRET security clearance. Note: US citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:  

Experience with tools such as: Jenkins, SonarQube,  GitLab, Docker, Java, Python, Ruby, Perl, Scripting YAML, SAST (Static Application Security Testing), DAST (Dynamic Application Security Testing) and other frameworks and methods to improve the continuous improvement/continuous delivery pipeline of a software development factory.

 
Primary work location will be in Fredericksburg, Virginia area with occasional travel opportunities.
