PURPOSE OF THE JOB

As digital continues to influence and shape the building materials industry, Owens Corning (OC) seeks to consistently strengthen its online presence. Our expertise in digital is relevant to brand trust within the roofing business, which strives to utilize digital marketing methods to reach and connect with our main audiences of roofing contractors and homeowners.

Reporting to the Digital Engagement Lead, the Digital Marketing Specialist will help retain and grow the roofing organization's online presence and brand value. Key to this role is the execution of content across digital channels. The Digital Marketing Specialist will support outbound and inbound social media communications to help guide and strengthen the brand's leadership position through core touchpoints in the roofing process. This role will also support the execution of web content to enhance our brand presence.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a passion for digital marketing. They have a data-driven mindset and a proven track record of successful campaign execution. Success in this role will be achieved by using the power of digital channels to shape conversations, drive engagement, and help build and solidify the company's brand with contractors and homeowners.

Reports to: Digital Engagement Lead - Roofing

Span of Control: Individual Contributor, working cross functionally with key stakeholders

Products Supported: All Roofing Products

Primary Targets: Roofing Contractors and Homeowners interested in roofing projects

Working Model: Hybrid, with Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in the office

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Digital marketing support

Support activation of a comprehensive digital media plan that enhances our strategic marketing and communications plans across digital channels.

Work cross functionally with strategic marketing team members, designers, product teams, and outside agencies to execute compelling, creative, audience-driven digital content rooted in a deep understanding of customer behavior.

Social media planning and execution

Help maintain social media content calendar, integrating with the overall marketing plan, and activate organic social media content through specialized digital tools (i.e. Sprout Social).

Support the maintenance and growth of our company's presence through Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Pinterest, and other strategically relevant online properties.

Explore emerging digital platforms (i.e., TikTok) to help inform strategic priorities.

Enforce the Social Media Guidelines as defined by the brand.

Community building

Support the construction of online response and escalation procedures.

Work with the Digital Engagement Lead and agency to review the review user generated comments / posts in a quick and timely manner.

Respond to comments, when appropriate, to foster a positive community and add value to the user's experience.

Work with customer service, technical, and warranty teams to provide support for customers and contractors.

Working with the community management agency team, answer questions as they arise in social media while assisting customers in navigating Owens Corning and providing fast, relevant, and professional service.

Website content support

Help monitor and analyze website performance and user behavior using web analytics tools.

Support updating and maintaining website content using our custom-built CMS.

Moderate user generated content for web publication.

Analytics

Work cross functionality to gather insights and identify trends to help create actionable metrics reports that lead to channel and website optimization.

Reach, impressions, frequency

Engagements, clicks, conversions

Site visits and referrals

Cost per million (CPM), cost per click (CPC), cost per lead (CPL), return on ad spend (ROAS)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors in marketing, communications, advertising, business, or related field; other applicable relevant experience considered

3+ years' experience managing social media platforms or communities for agencies or brands

3+ years working in a corporate or agency environment, interacting with multiple levels of the organization

Some travel required (10-15%)

EXPERIENCE:

Track record of executing social media or adjacent digital marketing strategy

Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in social media marketing and measurement

Social media / digital content management and analytics platforms (i.e., Sprout Social, Sprinklr, Adobe, Google Analytics)

Experience working on paid media campaigns that deliver quantifiable revenue growth and measurable return on investment

Demonstrated successful experience working in a matrix environment and collaborating with creative teams

Familiar with search engine optimization (SEO) best practices and web analytics tools

Demonstrated ability to analyze data to identify trends and areas for growth

Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or beat high bar targets and deadlines

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Conviction to execute social media and other digital strategies that are aligned with OC's values

Highly motivated and results-oriented with a high energy level and passion for technology and digital marketing

Demonstrated ability to execute a community management strategy that reflects the holistic understanding and implementation of the role of social media, its effects, and the opportunity to build community

Understanding of social networks - design, functionality, users, reporting, advertising, and analytics

Understanding of cross-channel media plans and the role each channel plays

Actively participates in a wide variety of social media activities including content creation and measurement

Proven communication skills

Ability to craft engaging stories that support the strategic priorities of the business

Ability to digest channel and content performance in order to help build actionable recommendations

Ability to operate "hands on" to get results; shows can-do-attitude and be able to operate under pressure and meet deadlines

Proficiency in PowerPoint and presentation tools and skills

High attention to detail
