NOTICE OF JOB VACANCY
Job Title: Wade Pool Attendant (3 Full Time)
This position involves the responsibility for proper surveillance of a wade pool. Since the bathers are usually young and small with little or no swimming ability, their risks are greater. Due to the shallow water depth, the ability to swim is not necessary.
Work Hours: Full Time, 40 hours per week; no benefits
Salary: $16.50/hr
Location: Cortland County Highway Department
Status: Non-Competitive, Temporary
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: None.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must be at least 18 years old.
2. Possession of a current CPR certificate as per the current NYS Health Department requirements** (A copy of the certification must accompany the application; all certifications must have exact titles and additional requirements fulfilled as per each provider by the New York State Department of Health)
3. Certificate must indicate the completion of an in-person skills assessment. If it doesn’t, a separate certification verifying completion of an in-person skills assessment is also required.
4. CPR Certifications are valid for 1 year from the date of certification, regardless of the expiration date shown on the card.
