Job Duties;

 Examination, treatment and instruction to assess, prevent, correct, alleviate and limit physical disability, movement dysfunction, bodily malfunction and pain from injury, disease and any other bodily condition. The PT may administer, interpret, and evaluate physical therapy tests and measurements of bodily functions and structures; the planning, administration, evaluation and modification of treatment and instruction, including the use of physical measures, activities, and devices, for preventive and therapeutic purposes; and the provision of consultative, educational, research and other advisory services for the purpose of reducing the incidence and severity of physical disability, movement dysfunction, bodily malfunction and pain. The PT can provide educational resources and training, develop fitness or wellness programs for asymptomatic persons, or provide screening or consultative services within the scope of physical therapy practice without the prescription and direction of a physician. No physical therapist shall initiate treatment for a new injury or illness without the prescription or direction of a person licensed and registered as a physician. Frequent driving may be required.

Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age

Able to read, write, perform simple mathematics and follow directions

Bachelor of Science or Masters of Science Degree in Physical Therapy having graduated from an accredited school of physical therapy that is accredited by the Commission of Accreditation for Physical Therapy Education. (unless grandfathered in under different licensing requirement prior to 1988.) At least one year experience preferred in a health care institution in the role of PT/PTA. Home health experience preferred.

Must have reliable transportation and proof of automobile insurance.

Must pass pre-employment drug screening, criminal background check, registered w/Family Care Reg. and not be listed on the EDL

Must complete an application in full and furnish at least 2 credible business references with correct addresses and telephone numbers.

Must be able to lift a minimum of 100 and sit for long periods of time.

Required Training;

Training involves a 30 day period where policies and procedures are covered. Computer training will cover the use of the hand held used to make patient visits.
