Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the attending physician the incumbent delivers services in a team based patient-centered primary care clinic serving insured and uninsured children and adults with a special emphasis on care for persons who experience barriers to accessing care due to income language cultural and social barriers. The incumbent must be willing to work a flexible schedule when circumstances necessitate as well as participating in On-Call rotation with other clinic providers. The incumbent reports to the Director Rural Clinics.
Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a
- Physician Assistant in an outpatient primary care clinic community health center etc.
- Must hold an academic degree and completion of a specialized Physician Assistant Training Program
- Successful completion of a national physician assistant examination prior to being licensed by the Physician Assistant Board in California.
- Licensed as a Physician Assistant in good standing from the California State Physician Assistant Board. N
- National Provider Identifier (NPI) number
- satisfactory report from the National Practitioner Data Bank
- Ability to successfully meet Dignity Health's credentialing and privileging processes upon hire and biannually thereafter
- BLS certification
- PA license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to verbally communicate in Spanish is highly desirable.
- ACLS
