ABOUT THE ROLE
Responsible for managing Fly Ash Beneficiation construction projects for North American Geocycle regions/sites and works directly with the customers, typically coal fired utilities, for the development and implementation of fly ash beneficiation plants.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Manage the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of fly ash beneficiation facilities across North America.
- Develops and maintains project schedules and progress reports. Leads and follows the implementation of key technical operational protocols across fly ash beneficiation platforms (i.e. QA/QC systems, core maintenance systems, …)
- Develop and execute Capex improvement projects, deliver, project management and execution leadership
- Function as a driver for change management and continuous improvement
- Oversees multiple projects through providing supervision and guidance to local project managers when assignedResponsible for the design criteria, specifications and documentation for projects from conception phase to installed solutions.
- Responsibility to ensure the health and safety of employees and all relevant third parties by integrating safety into project design and operational systems.
- Completes root-cause analysis on non-conformances and ensures corrective actions are taken to prevent recurrence of issues. Identifies root causes and troubleshoots complex fly ash processing problems and provides pragmatic recommendations to enhance performance and, where practical, accompanies the process right through to execution.
- Develops and Scopes out new ash beneficiation projects in collaboration with the business development team and supports the development of bids and financial models
- Leads post-construction commissioning of new equipment
- Conducts after-action evaluation of projects to identify successes and failures in order to promote continuous improvement of project execution
- Identifies, assesses, and recommends technologies that could be used to advance fly ash beneficiation technologies.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Education: Bachelor's/Undergraduate Degree or 5 years of engineering experience in environments
Required Computer and Software Skills: Primavera P6 (preferred)
Travel Requirements: Overnight travel from 10% to 40% of the time.
Additional Requirements:
- Broad trouble-shooting expertise in civil, mechanical, process/quality, and electrical fields.
- Familiar with common financial measures and evaluation processes that lead to optimization of IRR, NPV, and Capex/Opex trade-offs.

- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim-approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
