PACCAR's Information Technology Division (ITD), located in Renton, WA utilizes cutting-edge technology to provide systems development, consulting, voice and data communications services to the entire Corporation, which has high visibility in the technology sector.
Requisition Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing business processes and requirements, identifying areas for improvement, and working closely with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. Experience with ServiceNow is preferred.
Job Functions/Responsibilities
Collect and document new demands from business stakeholders, ensuring comprehensive and accurate requirements and process flows are captured.
Act as the primary liaison between the business and IT teams, fostering effective communication and collaboration throughout the demand assessment process.
Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs, goals, and objectives, and translate them into IT requirements.
Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and propose mitigation strategies.
Analyze and prioritize demands based on business value, strategic alignment, and resource availability, leveraging ServiceNow's features and benefits.
Collaborate with IT teams to define project scope, deliverables, and timelines for approved demands
Coordinate with project managers, development teams, and other stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of IT solutions, utilizing ServiceNow effectively.
Perform system testing and facilitate user acceptance testing to validate system functionality.
Provide regular status updates and timely reports on demand assessment and progress to business stakeholders and IT management, using ServiceNow reporting functionalities.
Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization in demand management practices, leveraging ServiceNow's capabilities.
Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to ServiceNow to recommend innovative solutions and improvements. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
Provide training and support to end-users on new system functionalities and processes.
Continuously assess and improve business analysis processes and methodologies.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Demand Manager or similar role.
Strong understanding of IT service management (ITSM) principles, processes, and frameworks including ITIL.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into actionable requirements.
Experience with ServiceNow or other IT service management tools preferred.
Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proficiency in documenting requirements, use cases, and process flows.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and adapt to changing priorities.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
ServiceNow experience or implementation is preferred for this role.
Education/Training
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field preferred.
Business Analysis certification (such as CBAP or CCBA) strongly desired.
