Position Summary
The Security Dispatcher is responsible for obtaining critical information
needed to ensure proper and timely response to emergency and non-emergent
situations at National Jewish Health.
Essential Duties
Operates telephone, radio or other communication systems to receive and
communicate request for emergent and non-emergent assistance.
Obtains information regarding crimes, threats, disturbances, acts of
terrorism, fires, medical emergencies and other safety matters. Routes
information in an appropriate and timely manner.
Observes cameras and monitors alarms and radio networks.
Coordinates and provides information to law enforcement and emergency response
personnel as needed.
Dispatches Security Officers to areas of concern.
Reviews shift reports daily for completeness and accuracy.
Other Duties
Assists in training new dispatchers.
