The Inpatient Central Business Office Trainer is primarily responsible for all aspects of training for new employees.  This position also provides on-going training to existing staff. They assist CBO Leadership with completing the job duties for current openings and new employees.  This position will also be involved in special projects as assigned by the Director of CBO or VP Patient Accounting.


Responsibilities

Trains new IP CBO team members on the policies and procedures of the IP CBO regarding their respective positions. Provides both technical and functional on-the-job training for on-site and remote team members.
Creates and keeps up-to-date all CBO resource material including a Procedural Manual.
Authors a monthly newsletter and other on demand process, policy and payer updates as needed.
Monitors and re-trains employees identified by Leadership.
Provides continued feedback to Leadership for all employees while involved in training.
Assists the IP CBO in maintaining the job duties of other team members when staff is absent.
Notifies and educates staff concerning new findings, problems, changes with Medicare and other insurance carrier billing/collecting, as well as, any changes with internal policy and procedures.
Serve as a resource for Leadership and all IP team members.
Any additional projects as assigned by the Director of CBO or VP Patient Accounting


Qualifications

Required
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum two years inpatient collection experience
Preferred
Time management skills with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and stay on schedule.
Flexible with working hours
Word, Excel and Zoom proficient.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral), including the ability to communicate complex issues clearly and concisely.
