The Cybersecurity organizations WAF and Firewall team is seeking skilled cybersecurity engineers to help address a backlog of external customer tickets concerning firewall policy change requests.
Engineers will receive incoming requests via Service Now ticketing system. Request will specify what the customer believes is necessary to allow connectivity required
Engineers will need to challenge request details as necessary to ensure that only the minimum required access is provided. Guidelines about best practices for rule structing will be provided.
Engineers will then transfer requirements into a tool that will help format API commands required in order to grant access; engineers will execute commands against API, publish firewall policy updates and push policy to gateways.
All requests (fulfilled and rejected both) will be documented within service now. Critical component is speed of handling each request. Target will be 20 minutes per ticket per engineer (24 tickets per day)

3-5 years of experience as an Cybersecurity Engineer
Understanding of firewall policies and security protocols need to have check point experience, Fortinet and Palo Alto nice to have
Experience working with Service Now ticketing system
Bachelor's degree in engineering, cybersecurity or equivalent
Ability to plan, organize and prioritize tasks to complete within established time frames
Ability to learn and adapt to new or evolving technologies
Possessing technical security certifications is a strong asset
Ability to write and edit formal-technical documentation
Strong written and verbal communication
