Purpose:
The Casting Operator is responsible for monitoring equipment, making adjustments as necessary to
maintain quality, and reporting any changes in condition they can’t control.

The Casting Operator is responsible for monitoring equipment, making adjustments as necessary to
maintain quality, and reporting any changes in condition they can’t control.
General Duties:
- Ensure equipment is operating within specified parameters
- Ensure quality is maintained
- Fill out required production documents
- Material handling
- Assist with tear down and rebuild of equipment requiring manual labor
- Maintain clean/organized work area
- Performs other duties as required
Skills:
- Ability to work both independently and as a team
- Basic troubleshooting and problem solving
- Ability to identify nonstandard situations and respond accordingly
- High school degree or GED equivalency.
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Must be willing to work a (4 Star) 12-hour shifts (willing to work every other weekend and some holidays). Shifts are either 5:00 AM to 5:10 PM or 5:00 PM to 5:10 PM
- Able to perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks for extended periods, to include but not limited to: lifting, walking, standing, stooping, pulling, and pushing
- Willing to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations; including wearing personal protective equipment
- Must work safely at all times
- Willing to work in hot/humid, cold, noisy industrial environment
- Willing to work around dust, oil, grease, chemicals, and other substances
- Able to use a computer for basic reporting and documentation
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good communication skills. Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally
- Able to accurately use basic math
- Molten metal experience strongly preferred
