Job Description

 
1 Fulltime H-2A Seasonal Jobs available 03/01/2024- 12/11/24. Duties: Workers are needed to plant, maintain and harvest diversified ground crops. Workers will perform field work including weeding, thinning, hoeing and other duties related to planting, maintaining and harvesting crops. Workers will work in greenhouses planting and transplanting seedlings, as well as caring for and harvesting greenhouse crops. Workers will also plant and transplant crops in the fields. Workers will work in a storage building washing, culling, and preparing produce for storage and distribution. Workers will load and unload trucks. Workers must have knowledge of soil tillage and must be able to apply fertilizers and pesticides and operate and repair farm machinery. Workers must be willing to work in varied weather ranging from extremely cold in the spring and fall to hot, humid summer days. Work is physically demanding requiring workers to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel for long periods of time. Workers must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis. Workers must be available to work Saturdays. Workers must be able to use hand and power tools such as but not limited to: shovels, hoes, pruners, irrigation pumps and chainsaws. Workers may cut brush to keep fields clear for crops. Employer will furnish to workers without cost all tools and equipment required to perform duties assigned. Workers will be given a 30 minute lunch break and a 15 minute break in the morning and afternoon. Beginning and ending times will vary depending on the crop conditions. Workers must be able to take direction in simple English. Requirements: * One month experience of the duties mentioned * Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. * Exposure to extreme temperatures, extensive pushing/pulling and frequent stooping. * Extensive walking, sitting and repetitive movements. * Workers must be able to take direction in simple English.
