Position Summary | This role has a reporting relationship to the Senior Associate General Counsel, and SVP General Counsel and Corporate Secretary (“General Counsel”). The Associate General Counsel – Labor and Employment Litigation Management, Student Service Attorney (“Associate General Counsel”) plays a crucial role in providing legal guidance and support to the administrative and business operations of Morehouse School of Medicine and the faculty practice plan, Morehouse Healthcare. The responsibilities of the Associate General Counsel include supporting multiple business units by providing legal services as outlined below. Also, the responsibilities for the Associate General Counsel include assisting with the management of outside counsel. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in litigation with a focus on labor and employment law, have exceptionally strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills, and be able to work independently and collaboratively. Pre-Employment/Employment Requirements

Immunization Requirements | It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are required to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment. If employment will commence during Flu Season, MSM requires all individuals to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless granted an exemption. Failure to provide proof of vaccination for any required vaccines or obtain an exemption from MSM will result in rescission of a candidate’s offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination. |
