Job Description

The main responsibility of the Seafood Counter Clerk is to provide exceptional customer service to people purchasing fish and seafood.
Some of their daily duties may include:

Welcoming customers and offering to assist them

Fielding questions about different types of seafood and cooking techniques

Recommending products to customers

Retrieving fresh seafood from display cases, weighing, packaging and pricing it

Rotating the stock in the display case, refrigerators and freezers

Cleaning countertops, display cases and storage areas

Assisting with the cutting and processing of seafood as needed

Preparing ready-to-eat seafood dishes as needed
