Job Description:
Counseling Services of Southern Minnesota is a mental health center with 2 clinic locations: St. Peter and Mankato. We provide a variety of outpatient and rehabilitative mental health services to all ages.



We are looking for a full-time Office Assistant to join our team. The primary location of this position will be in our Mankato office.



The ideal candidate will have experience in a mental health office setting.



Hours of the position may vary but typically will be:

Monday to Thursday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm

Fridays from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

A 30-minute unpaid lunch break is built into the schedule.



This position requires:

A reliable and punctual individual that can work with a variety of individuals of various ages including small children and their families.

The ability to provide excellent customer services while multi-tasking, completing client check ins, answering calls, scheduling appointments, and monitoring the lobby.

Scanning documents and being a support staff completing time sensitive requests from staff is required. Special projects may be assigned on a regular basis.

Transcription skills are beneficial.

The right candidate will be or become efficient in working with an electronic medical record system.

Attention to detail and effective computer skills are required.

Familiarity with HIPAA rules and regulations and confidentiality of mental health records and services preferred.

This position requires opening and closing procedures for the office.



Bilingual (Spanish) skills are preferred.
