THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Computer Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the daily processing of jobs within the facility. This includes computer operations, material procurement, best practices, time tracking, vacation approval, and mentoring of employees. You will be working with confidential Federal Tax Information (FTI) which will require you to complete IRS FTI training and any necessary Commonwealth training regarding the handling of FTI. You will have the opportunity to determine assignment priorities, set performance standards and goals, evaluate work performance, resolve grievances and complaints, as well as interview and recommend candidates for vacancies.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time, after successful completion of onsite training. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

  REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year of experience as a Computer Operations Supervisor; or
Four years of experience in operating computers, including two years in a supervisory capacity; and graduation from high school, or equivalent certification or formal training. Formal training in electronic data processing may be substituted for non- supervisory experience at the rate of 25 hours for one month, to a maximum of 12 months; or

Three years of experience in operating computers, including two years in a supervisory capacity, and an associate degree with major course work in data processing.
