Job Summary:
The Safety & Reliability Engineer III will be responsible for performing safety, reliability, and maintainability analyses on new product designs to ensure safety and reliability objectives are met. Participate in engineering design review of products. The overall objective is to ensure customer satisfaction.
Essential Functions:
Generate system safety requirements.
Perform safety analysis for brake control systems per the industry standards and guidelines (i.e. SAE ARP 4761 and MIL-STD-882E)
Perform reliability analysis of electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical components at assembly and piece part level using HDBK-217Plus and MIL-HDBK-217F methods, and NPRD database.
Calculate Mean Time between Failure (MTBF) and Mean Time between unscheduled removal (MTBUR) from field data or handbook methods.
Present reliability, safety, and maintainability analysis results in design reviews. ( i.e. PDR and CDR)
Performs maintainability analysis and generate MTTR based on the guidelines provided in MIL-HDBK-470A and MIL-HDBK-472.
Perform Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis at component and functional level.
Perform failure rate weighted fault detection and isolation analysis.
Participate in System, Hardware, and Software design requirements reviews.
Recommend improvements to safety and reliability based on analysis results.
Follow internal guidelines and procedures and adhere to configuration management processes for engineering changes and document releases.

Salary range: $125,100.00 to $146.600.00 Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
