Siemens Opcenter (Camstar MES) Staff Engineer

The Camstar MES Staff Engineer will be responsible for the plan, design, configuration, development, and testing of the Camstar MES application. This role will work closely with the operations team to ensure the smooth implementation and maintenance of the application.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, configure, implement, and maintain Siemens Opcenter (Camstar MES) application to meet the needs of the company's operations.
  • Analyze, design, configure, develop, and test requested functionality in the development environment.
  • Support the operations team to test and accept new changes in the Camstar MES test environment.
  • Collaborate with the DBA team to migrate newly developed functionality to the production Camstar MES environment with minimal negative impact on the business. 
  • Monitor the Camstar MES application to ensure normal operation in the production line.
  • Perform troubleshooting when incidents are reported by the operations team and own Camstar MES incident management.
  • Maintain documentation for the key applications.
  • Follow industry leading practices for Software Development Life Cycle and company policies and practices for Camstar MES application
  • Collaborate with global IT team (including Camstar MES experts) for Camstar MES projects and support activities.
  • Train junior or new members of the team and users as required.
  • Support analytics.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • 5+ years of experience and knowledge in planning, designing, configuring, developing, implementing, and maintaining Siemens Opcenter (Camstar MES) application.
  • Experience in leading and implementing 2 or more deployments of Siemens Opcenter implementation.
  • Proficiency in Modelling, Printing & Labeling Change, CIO setting, Portal Layout Changes, and Business Rules.
  • Experience and knowledge in Camstar Designer.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent
  • Master of Science in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent is preferred
