Job Description:
This Senior Specialist Electrical Engineer will be responsible for Radio Frequency (RF) design. As an RF designer within Defense Elelctronics this position will design space communications equipment for including receivers and transmitters for multiple products. Designs include discrete low noise amplifiers (LNAs) including downconverter or mixers, and transmitters using solid state power amplifiers (SSPAs).
Essential Functions:
- Eligibility for a Security Clearance is desired.
- Extended work hours available.
- Experience in discrete low noise amplifier (LNA) design
- Experience in clock generation and/or phase locked loop design
- Experience in solid state power amplifier (SSPA) design.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 6 years prior relevant experience. Graduate/Master’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience is required.
- Ability to obtain a Security Clearance from the U.S. Government which requires U.S. Citizenship.
- Experience with RF Test Equipment including spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers and complex waveform generators
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Proficient using Mentor Grapics ADS Software
- Power amplifier design experience
- Experience with High power voltage greater than 50 watts.
- Proficient in a semi-clean room test theater including ESD precautions
- knowledge of project management
