Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Trade school diploma or degree from technical school.
Skills: Must have working knowledge of electricity, fire safety codes, refrigeration and air conditioning codes.
Years of Experience: 1-2 years previous experience in similar position in an institutional setting.
License: Valid Driver’s License.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Personal Protective Equipment: Eye and Face protection, Respirator/CAPR mask with medical clearance
Physical Demands:
Works in precarious or high locations, ladders/scaffolding, etc.
Possible exposure to electrical/mechanical/power equipment hazards.
Must be able to move, lift or carry materials or equipment weighing up to 10 pounds up to 55% of the time; 20 pounds 10% of the time.
Must be able to see, hear, and move intermittently, or use prosthetics that will enable you to function adequately to assure that the requirement of this position can be fully met.
Frequent reaching/stooping/bending/kneeling/crouching/prolonged standing/walking.
Possible exposure to Confined Spaces and low voltages.
Must be able to perform and understand Lock out Tag out procedures.
Handles crisis or emergency situations and responds to appropriate building codes.
