CHEMICAL REFINING SPECIALIST

Recycles and refines silver from numerous types of silver coated film and paper. To purify low to mid-grade silver to high purity through chemical digestion and electrolysis.

Responsibilities

• Work with nitric acid to digest material
• Follow and meet the production schedule along with SOPs
• Maintain quality standards
• Complete documentation
• Properly use, operate and maintain machinery to reduce downtime
• Complete maintenance request forms
• Work in a chemical, shop environment

Skill Requirements

• Plant experience preferred
• HS diploma/GED with experience in chemistry a plus
• Basic computer experience
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. for extended periods of time
• Neat and organized, hands-on
• Attention to detail
• Able to work independently
• Experience in safety program a plus  
• Mechanical abilities preferred
• Pre-employment drug screening and background check is required
• Driver’s License required
