We are currently seeking motivated candidates for a Full Time Member Service Representative at our Lakeville, Minnesota branch. This position has the opportunity to earn incentive pay.
Position Purpose:
Ensures that members are promptly and professionally served whether performing teller functions or performing a broad variety of member services functions. This is a lending position with cash handling responsibilities.
Job Duties (include but not limited to):
Cross selling credit union products and services to provide high quality member service and reach credit union goals and objectives
Receives checks and cash for deposit and loan payments, in person or by mail; verifies amount; and examines checks for endorsement and negotiability.
Disburses cash or check share withdrawals in person or by mail, after verification of signatures and account balances.
Processes/sells cash advances, cashiers' checks, money orders, government bonds, gift cards, theme park tickets and similar transactions, after verification of signatures and account balances.
Enters and maintains a teller tape on all transactions.
Balances daily transactions and verifies cash totals. Investigates and resolves out-of-balance conditions.
Opening and closing membership accounts
Performs loan transactions from processing applications all the way to payout, following Genisys lending procedures and guidelines
Ensures that members' requests and questions are promptly resolved whether in person, over the phone, or via other communication methods.
Ensures that the Credit Union's quality reputation is maintained and projected.
Obtains appropriate state license to sell loan protection insurances.
Qualifications:
High School Graduate or equivalent required
Customer service experience preferred
Sales experience preferred
Knowledge of lending processes helpful
Skills and Abilities:
Good communication skills
Professional appearance, dress, and attitude
Good math skills
Able to operate related computer applications and basic business equipment
Good typing skills
