    As the Payroll & Benefits Manager, you will oversee the strategic management of all payroll and benefits functions across multiple states, working closely with HR leadership to drive operational excellence. This includes:

    • End-to-End Payroll Management: Lead payroll processing for approximately 450 employees, ensuring precision, compliance, and timely execution using ADP Workforce Now.
    • System Optimization & Automation: Utilize advanced ADP Workforce Now features to automate payroll processes, create efficient workflows, and develop custom reporting tools that provide actionable insights.
    • Benefits Administration: Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, internal dental benefits, and other fringe benefits.
    • Mergers & Acquisitions Support: Partner with HR and finance teams to manage payroll integration for newly acquired practices, ensuring seamless transitions and accurate setup for new employees.
    • Leave Management: Manage PTO, sick leave, and other employee leave programs, ensuring compliance and accurate tracking.
    • Regulatory Compliance & Reporting: Stay up to date on federal, state, and local payroll and benefits laws, ensuring the organization is fully compliant. Lead the preparation and delivery of all required payroll and benefits-related reporting, including year-end processes.
    • Team Leadership & Training: Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to HR staff on payroll procedures and best practices, ensuring operational efficiency across the team.
    • Customer Service Excellence: Resolve payroll and benefits inquiries in a timely and professional manner, providing excellent service to employees and stakeholders.

    What We Are Looking For:

    • Experience: At least 7 years of experience in payroll management with a proven track record in multi-state, multi-entity payroll, including hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now.
    • Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or a related field. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) and/or Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) is a plus.
    • Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in ADP Workforce Now, with demonstrated experience in system configuration, reporting, and automation. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups) and other Microsoft Office Suite applications.
    • Compliance Knowledge: Deep understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, benefits administration, and reporting requirements across multiple states.
    • Leadership & Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical, organizational, and project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple priorities while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to work collaboratively across departments, resolve issues proactively, and maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
