Job Summary :
Join our team of experts in pump repair and contribute to our renowned services in Eastern Canada! We're seeking a skilled Pump Millwright with at least 8 years of experience to work at our Toronto Quick Response Center. Only candidates eligible to work in Canada without visa or sponsorship will be considered for this role.
Responsibilities:
This role involves the dismantling, cleaning, inspection, and assembly of various types of pumps, including BBx, OHx, and high-energy pumps. The successful candidate will collaborate with team leads and colleagues to complete work according to provided instructions, routers, drawings, and checklists.
Requirements:
Minimum of 8 years of pump repair experience
Authorized to work in Canada.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents
Proficiency with precision measuring tools
Basic computer skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities in English
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds
Strong customer service orientation
Key Duties Include:
Utilizing mechanical aptitude for pump repair and assembly
Reading and interpreting prints, shop drawings, assembly checklists, and written work instructions
Setting up and accurately using precision measuring instruments
Basic computer literacy for data entry, Microsoft Word, and Outlook
Effective communication in English for understanding work instructions, safety procedures, and company policies
Standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25 pounds
Embracing a customer-service mindset for timely delivery and quality workmanship
Demonstrating a proactive attitude and strong "can-do" spirit
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced to expert level experience in rotating equipment repair
Prior experience in rotating equipment balancing
Prior experience in conducting hydrostatic tests
Possession of a 433A License
