Under the direction of department leadership, performs clerical and
other technical lab duties in a timely and accurate manner, with quality
that exceeds customer expectations. Takes pride in performing customer
service tasks, executed at a high level. Executes to daily scheduled
tasks, takes initiative within the scope of the role, and strives to
improve work processes based on laboratory and client needs. Aligns to
and supports Versiti\'s mission, vision, and values as well as
department goals and objectives. Understands to a high degree the
importance of daily tasks performed and the impact they have on the
patients and providers we work with to provide lifesaving diagnostic
services. Responsibilities Understand and perform to all applicable
regulatory and compliance requirements. May support leadership during
audits. Ship, receive, and track packages and specimens while
maintaining the integrity of samples, as needed. Receive, classify, and
process specimens in an accurate and expedient manner. Inspect specimens
and paperwork for accuracy and acceptability. Maintain sample identity
and ensure samples are handled and stored at appropriate temperatures to
prevent loss of sample. Use appropriate systems to accurately perform
data entry functions. Proofread own work for content, spelling,
accuracy, and document format. Maintain sample integrity and ensure
proper identification of all specimens. Prepare samples for laboratory
