We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Cost Accountant in Osceola, Arkansas, United States. The selected candidate will be responsible for determining pricing structures, conducting cost analysis, and supporting financial decisions related to product profitability. The role involves close collaboration with various teams to develop competitive pricing models and ensure timely responses in the costing workflow.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain pricing models considering cost inputs, market conditions, and profitability targets.
• Analyze cost structures, including raw material expenses, labor, and overhead to determine accurate product pricing.
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Operations teams to align pricing strategies with company objectives.
• Conduct profitability assessments for new and existing customer contracts and provide financial insights, margin analysis, and competitive benchmarking to support Sales in pricing negotiations.
• Regularly review and update pricing formulas to reflect changes in costs and business conditions.
• Identify and analyze cost variances, provide recommendations to improve cost efficiency, and present cost analysis reports to senior management.
• Ensure new Item IDs are created for new ingredients and packaging in alignment with R& D, Production Vision, and JustFood.
• Work closely with Operations and Supply Chain to optimize inventory cost management and material pricing.
• Update standard costs for ingredients, packaging, and production processes regularly.
• Support Accounts Payable in setting up new suppliers in JustFood after receiving credit information.
• Maintain and update costs used in quarterly pricing for customers with unique pricing structures, ensuring adherence to unique pricing requirements from customer’s manufacturing agreement.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cost Accountant role or similar.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential.
• Demonstrable knowledge of Accounting Functions.
• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) is a must.
• Prior experience in Auditing is necessary.
• Proven understanding of Budget Processes.
• Ability to manage Cash Activity effectively.
