Order#: NY1496048 Production Associate- CNC Heat Treat Operator Essential Functions: Reads work orders to determine material specifications Positions work piece against the stops, push button and depresses pedal to activate machine Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunctions Identifies soft spots on the cam and report all abnormal conditions to the lead Person or Supervisor Stamps parts, verifies stamp is correct and legible and places good pieces in container Assembles cams as needed Completes work orders correctly and legibly Follows written and oral work instruction. Works well with supervision and co-workers Willingness to run other machines when needed such as but not limited to Hobbs & Rack Roller Other duties may be assigned Education and Training High School diploma or GED Minimum Qualifications Good verbal and written communication skills Basic math skills Ability to work well with others Physical Demands Ability to stand continuously for 8 12 hours Ability to work in tight places Strength and manual dexterity sufficient to operate tools to make repairs Good physical condition to lift up to 20 pounds repetitively Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to twist, bend and lift repetitively Ability to stand, crouch and climb to perform repairs, use ladders and perform various types of manual labor Good eye/hand coordination and good motor skills Visual (with correction) sufficient to read blueprints and orders and the ability to record the information either manually or in a computer Demonstrated dependability and adherence to all safety rules and regulations Environmental Conditions Exposure to a noisy work environment Exposure to hot and humid conditions Exposure to coolants, oils, grease and water Ear and Eye protection required at all times in all production areas Steel toe boots with integrated metatarsal guards required in production area
