August 25, 2025 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The College of Health,
Education and Social Welfare at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay
seeks applicants for a tenure-track position in Education. The
successful applicant will contribute to an academic unit which prepares
future teachers and works with practicing educators and administrators
at the undergraduate and graduate level in the region and state. We take
pride in creating and nurturing relationships with PK-12 school
districts and other institutions in the 16-county area of Northeast
Wisconsin. This position will be responsible for enhancing UW-Green
Bay\'s mission-driven inclusive teaching efforts and creating and
maintaining an educational environment that acknowledges, encourages,
and celebrates those with diverse identities, beliefs, and cultural
backgrounds. This position includes the following responsibilities:
\*Teach lower and upper-level foundation and methods courses (both
online and in person) in the area of ESL/Bilingual/Multilingual
Education, along with the possibility of teaching other undergraduate
and graduate courses in areas consistent with expertise and program
needs. \*Demonstrate effective understanding of, and experience with,
teacher preparation processes in the area of ESL/Bilingual/Multilingual
Education. \*Supervise students in field-based placements. \*Implement
inclusive instructional strategies to increase support for students from
underrepresented and first-generation backgrounds at UW-Green Bay
\*Develop a strong research program involving collaboration with
students and/or faculty. \*Advise and mentor students. \*Perform
scholarly activities consistent with rank. \*Perform institutional and
community service. \*Contribute to ongoing program development.
\*Establish professional relationships with PK-12 schools and other
community organizations. SPECIAL NOTES: The home campus of this position
is Green Bay and the successful candidate may occasionally be required
to teach an occasional course at the Marinette, Sheboygan or Manitowoc

QUALIFICATIONS: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: \*Earned doctorate in Education,
Curriculum and Instruction, or closely related field, from an accredited
institution, emphasis in ESL/Bilingual/Multilingual Education is
preferred. ABD candidates will be considered; however, an earned
doctorate in Education, or closely related field, from an accredited
institution is a necessary condition for contract renewal. ABD
candidates will be hired into a terminal appointment at the rank of
Instructor with a rate determined at the time of hire. Upon degree
conferral during the terminal period, the contracted appointment with
the rank of Assistant Professor will be reinstated. \*Expertise and/or
experience in Teacher Education, preferably in
ESL/Bilingual/Multilingual Education. \*5 years of successful teaching
in a PK-12 educational setting, preferably in ESL/Bilingual/Multilingual
Education, and teacher licensure. \*Knowledge of teacher preparation
process, preferably related to preparing ESL/Bilingual/Multilingual
educators. \*Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching
