the future. Position Overview: Under direction of the Director of
Engineering, the Sales Application Engineer will provide technical
product design and integration of products to meet customer
requirements. This position will work closely with Nelson account
managers, manufacturing engineers at the plants and the customer
engineering team to develop workable manufactural solutions and
troubleshoot issues. Primary Responsibilities & Duties: Work closely
with account management/customers to develop a workable fluid flow
system layout and to identify and resolve system-level issues. Act as
engineering face to customer Design and integrate Exhaust
products/systems for on highway and off highway markets to meet customer
requirements Generate/maintain detailed models of designs and system
level Bill of Materials Generate specifications for product (2D prints,
Engineering specifications, etc.) Initiate and coordinate the technical
support work (including mechanical design, FEA and CFD analyses,
acoustical, flow and vibration testing, drafting, prototypes, etc.)
required to develop system components against technical profile
deliverables Work closely with manufacturing personnel to optimize
designs for manufacturability and cost reduction Ensure DFM (Design for
Manufacturability) is implemented in development of design (DQR, DVA,
Design Reviews, etc.) Maintain and manage project schedules Travel to
customer and supplier sites as necessary, perform on-site testing, and
present our technology Review/Approve/Process Customer Print Conformance
Travel Required: 10-25 % Required Education & Experience: Bachelor\'s
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent educational degree is
required. Strong understanding of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics
