Job Description
Introduction to the role
We are looking for someone to join the team to provide essential support within the Sub Rights team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of the team. It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key tasks and accountabilities:
Subright Processing
Carry out all daily sub rights tasks. Tasks includes (but not limited to):
Allocation of sub rights monies to appropriate author/earners
Liaise with payees and internal HCP departments in relation to the collection and processing of sub right monies due/received.
Miscellaneous administrative tasks associated with the processing of sub rights monies.
Processing of daily cash receipts
Processing and control of regular invoices and reminders re unpaid monies due (alternate)
Manage the team shared mailbox
Respond to both internal and external queries and requests for royalty information which may arise, including queries in relation to bi-annual royalty statements
Aid royalty team at peak times in statement production, payments and other ad hoc exercises as required
Skills required:
Broad/General experience within a Finance function
Accounts receivable experience is required
Royalty/Publishing finance experience is not essential but a nice to have
Willing to adapt to changing priorities
Strong Excel skills
Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
Knowledge of the workings of a Royalty application would be an advantage
PowerBi experience
PowerApps experience
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
