Advanced Technology Lab (ATL) – part of Northrop Grumman Microelectronics Center, located outside of Baltimore, Maryland - where we design, manufacture, and test semiconductor products for internal and commercial production customers as well as emerging technology programs. Northrop Grumman's ATL semiconductor foundry is a unique capability supporting a range of production microelectronic devices (Silicon, Gallium Arsenide, Gallium Nitride, and Silicon Carbide) and providing leading edge technology development in Superconducting Electronics and SLCFET. Our devices enable a number of Northrop Grumman's ground-based radars, avionic radars, and space systems.
Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) seeks to fill the position of RFIC Test Engineering Manager 1. This candidate will be responsible for coordinating RFIC testing for wafers and packaged devices fabricated in SiGe BiCMOS technology and in various packaging form factors. Administrative and technical management responsibilities include managing test engineers, test scheduling, equipment/software development and improvements, optimizing test accuracy and capability along with operational and throughput performance metrics. This individual will interface with the foundry, design, and program teams to balance resources, meet objectives, resolve issues and develop team skills.

Basic Qualifications for RFIC Test Engineering Manager 1:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline with 5 years of related experience; Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline with 3 years of related experience.
Team management experience overseeing RF testing (microelectronics testing experience preferred).
Good understanding of test software and hardware, operations and troubleshooting.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills also required.
Demonstrated understanding of process and product documentation requirements.
An aptitude for technology development.
U.S. Citizenship required.
The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance is required.
Preferred Qualifications for RFIC Test Engineering Manager 1:
Active Secret clearance.
Management experience within a production environment is preferred.
Semiconductor wafer level and packaged device testing experience.
Comprehensive knowledge and experience in RF measurement techniques including hands on experience with VNA.
Prior experience developing test software in C/C# or other programming languages.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
