Job Description

Description
The Director provides planning, administrative, budgetary and direct supervisory control and direction to the Quality Control, Aircraft Reliability/Maintenance programs, Aircraft Records, Maintenance Training and Engineering departments. Oversees and assures company policy, procedures and practices are in accordance with FAR's in the maintenance of aircraft, engines and components, including activities in related support departments (Planning, Materials Management, Maintenance Control, Line Maintenance and all third party maintenance providers).

Responsible for the quality of the Continuing Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP). Responsible for the quality of the Continuing Analysis and Surveillance System (CASS).

Primary liaison between aircraft maintenance and the FAA.

Serves as Chief Inspector in accordance with CFR 119.65.

REQUIREMENTS:


Airframe and Powerplant License
10 Years FAR 121 Aircraft Maintenance experience
8 years management/supervisory experience (2 of which were in a Quality role)
Working knowledge of Federal Air Regulations
Working knowledge of aircraft operations and ABX Quality Control policy and procedures as they relate to Maintenance department and third-party maintenance
Working knowledge and understanding of aircraft operated by ABX

PREFERRED SKILLS:


Employment with a 121 air carrier at a Director level or Chief Inspector
Bachelor's degree in management or engineering
Project management experience or education
Knowlege of aircraft operations, line operations, Part 145 repair station quality interface
Established working relationship with the ABX FAA certificate management team
