Job Description
Jet Engine Mechanic Trainee - No experience necessary, will train to be a Jet Engine Mechanic.
Jet Engine Mechanic - Must have 2 years experience.
DUTIES: Performing disassembly and assembly of P&W, GG4 series aeroderivative gas turbines in accordance with WWT written procedures or equivalent.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Disassembly of gas turbines and sub assembles using hand and special tools
* Preparation of damaged, missing and condition reports
* Hand cleaning of removed parts
* Minor work such as blending, polishing, grit blasting
* Build sub and final assemblies using hand tools and measuring equipment
* Static and dynamic balance of rotors
* Ability to perform dimensional checks, compartment air flow and pressure checks
* Preparing for test and final shipment
* Works overtime as required
* Maintains a safe and clean work area and adheres to all housekeeping requirements, follows all safety procedures and rules and properly wears all safety protective equipment as required
* May require travel to remote sites to perform field service work
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school or equivalent diploma and training in aviation, military or tech school and minimum of 2 years of experience. Must speak, write, and understand English
SKILLS:
* Must have good mechanical skills, ability to accurately use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators
* Must be able to interpret, documents, and use manufacturer's technical manuals, service bulletins, illustrated parts catalogs, assembly drawings, WWT assembly sheets
* Must be able to safely operate overhead hoists and cranes and lift 50lbs.
Monday - Friday (7am-3:30pm) 40 plus overtime
