Job Summary
The Department of Economics in the Davis College of Business and Economics at Radford University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Economics beginning August 2025. Responsibilities of faculty include: teaching undergraduate and graduate courses; advising undergraduate students; participating in university governance and service; and publishing research in quality peer-reviewed journals. Primary teaching responsibilities will include principles of economics courses (micro/macro), intermediate economics courses (micro/macro), and applied courses in the applicant’s specialty. The Davis College of Business and Economics has a student body of approximately 900 undergraduates and approximately 100 graduate students (MBA).

  • The Assistant Professor position requires a Ph.D. in Economics; ABD’s will be considered.
  • Must be a qualified instructor per AACSB requirements as well as the standards of the Davis College of Business and Economics, defined as sustaining currency and relevance through scholarship and related activities.
Preferred Qualifications
Education
The Assistant Professor position requires a Ph.D. in Economics. ABD’s will be considered and will be hired at the Instructor level.
