Cleveland Clinic’s Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute seeks a Board-Certified Vascular Surgeon to lead the Vascular Surgery program in the Florida region and serve as the Cleveland Clinic Division Chair of Vascular Surgery. The Florida Division Chair will report to the Enterprise Chair, Vascular Surgery (Cleveland Clinic’s Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute).  The Department of Vascular Surgery is comprised of 28 members covering 8 hospitals in Northeastern Ohio and 4 in Florida.  The Florida vascular program cares for patients at Cleveland Clinic Martin Health (Martin North in Martin County and Tradition Hospital in Port St. Lucie), Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital in Weston and Cleveland Clinic Indian River hospital in Vero Beach.  The Division Chair will be tasked to manage surgeons and vascular medicine physicians and grow the program in Southeastern Florida. The primary practice locations for this position will be Cleveland Clinic Martin North Hospital located in Stuart, FL and Cleveland Clinic Tradition Hospital, located in Port St. Lucie, FL.

 

We seek a candidate with a minimum of five years surgical experience with expertise in the surgical and endovascular treatment of all aspects of vascular disease including carotid, aortic, lower extremity, dialysis, venous disease, and shares a passion for quality, innovation, and teamwork. Cleveland Clinic offers an outstanding practice environment for vascular surgeons.  The leader will be tasked with solidifying the group practice, mentoring junior surgeons, expanding the breadth of services offered and leading quality outcomes initiatives.  In the future, the leader will have the opportunity to participate in the possible development of vascular surgery training programs in Florida.
