Summary

As the Human Resources Manager within our division in , you will play a crucial role in driving HR functional excellence and supporting The Shyft Group/Utilimaster's strategy.
You will be responsible for overseeing the HR function for three small plants and perform walk-throughs at various times of the day.  You will also lead HR meetings throughout the week and will be expected to be available for interruptions from people who need support.

And as an innovative leader with a focus on people, you will maximize organizational capabilities, create a high-performing culture, and cultivate a motivated work environment of trust, teamwork, accountability, self-confidence, and business ownership.

What You'll Be Doing
Managing and overseeing the hiring process, including developing recruitment strategies, attracting top talent, screening resumes, and conducting interviews
Managing and resolving employee relations issues such as performance, disciplinary, and conflicts
Developing upskilling programs to improve employee skills and knowledge
Implementing and evaluating performance management systems
Administering compensation and benefits programs such as salary structures, performance-based incentives, and health insurance programs
Ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations, including EEO, wage and hour laws, and workplace safety rules
Creating and implementing HR policies and procedures in support of The Shyft Group's mission
Overseeing HR administrative functions such as employee file maintenance, record-keeping, and HRIS
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business
7+ years human resources experience in a manufacturing environment
2 years management experience preferred but not required
Thorough understanding of employment laws and regulations
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Demonstrated leader who inspires others to action and drives associate engagement
Capable of coaching and counseling associates and leaders regarding work related challenges
Demonstrated ability to effectively resolve conflict
Capable of translating big picture strategies into actionable plans to deliver results
Exceptional project management experience
