A Sr Controls Engineer job is available with a manufacturing Client in Springfield, Ohio. An individual should have knowledge and experience in Controls Engineering in the manufacturing environment. Must be skilled with robotic welding processes, capable of programming Allen-Bradley control systems, and programming Yaskawa and Fanuc robots. THIS IS A 4-6 MONTH CONTRACT POSITION
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Leader of all controls and automation launches and initiatives
* Design and develop tailored control systems for manufacturing
* Troubleshoot and debug controls of equipment
* Responsible for the creation and upgrade of equipment schematics, electrical diagrams and programs
* Collaborates with all departments to monitor and improve equipment efficiencies
* Support IATF 16949 certification by following written company procedures
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical or related Engineering field with 3 years working experience in the manufacturing industry
* Proven interaction experience with servos, stepper motors, VFD's, safety relays, light curtains and LOTO locking devices
* Strong analytical problem solving and communication skills
* Familiar with APQP activities and project implementation
* Must be familiar with metal forming processes to include both hydraulic and mechanical heavy gauge stamping
