Position Summary | The pharmacy technician supports the pharmacist in assisting patients, participating in the filling and dispensing of prescriptions, collecting required information from patients and performing cash register transactions. Required Qualifications | • High School diploma or GED equivalent certification. |
Preferred Qualifications | • Associates Degree preferred • Previous experience as a pharmacy technician preferred • Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred • Valid driver’s license preferred |
Physical Demands | While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee should have the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. |
