We are seeking a Supply Chain Manager to manage key aspects of the supply chain for our best-in-class Spyglass radar product. You will be responsible for optimizing the supply chain system to be efficient and cost effective. Activities include: (i) planning and managing the supplier resources necessary to meet production demand; (ii) leading a sourcing strategy to identify and select suppliers that provide overall best value; (iii) establishing processes to monitor and manage supplier performance and relationships; (iv) inventory planning; and (v) data analysis and reporting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Planning.
- Work with Spyglass radar team to forecast purchasing needs. Develop purchasing strategy to achieve an uninterrupted supply of parts and materials necessary to meet production targets.
- Proactively identify risks and plan workarounds for hard-to-find/long lead time parts and materials.
- Identify alternative suppliers as Spyglass radar production scales up and grows.
- Strategic Sourcing.
- Perform spend analysis to prioritize sourcing strategies. Develop and implement sourcing strategies to drive efficiency gains and best value, with particular focus on decreasing lead times and costs.
- Ensure robust processes are in place to achieve best value.
- Supplier Management.
- Implement processes to monitor and manage critical suppliers by KPIs, SLAs and various reporting mechanisms. Enforce compliance with quality standards.
- Implement processes to track orders from inception to fulfillment.
- Develop strong relationships with critical suppliers.
- Act as escalation point for supplier issues.
- Inventory.
- Manage inventory to ensure sufficient parts and materials are in stock to meet production targets.
- Data analysis and reporting.
- Analyze data to identify areas of supply chain operations to improve efficiency.
- Develop and execute projects to enhance supply chain operations.
- Measure supply chain performance and report to management.
- Collaborate with production team and other stakeholders to improve supply chain.
- Either a degree or certification in supply chain management, or five or more years of experience in supply chain analysis or management.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- U.S. Citizenship Required. Due to the nature of the work performed at Numerica, all applicants must be capable of obtaining a U.S. Security Clearance. At a minimum, this requires that a candidate be a U.S. citizen with a personal history indicating trustworthiness, reliability, and sound judgement (e.g., clean criminal record, no use of illegal drugs, etc.)
