Anticipated period of employment: 03/15/2025 to 11/25/2025 All applicants must have 3 months experience hand harvesting a perishable crop. Applicants must be able to furnish affirmative job references from recent employers. Operate trucks or other multi-purpose vehicles to transport workers from housing (whether on or off farm) to the farm properties; haul tools, supplies, or crops; transport workers from place to place around the farm properties during the workday (including on public roads to reach farmers fields and/or transport workers to the grocery store, bank, or laundry facilities on an as-needed basis. Load agricultural products into trucks, and drive trucks to market or storage facilities. Not all workers are requested to drive; drivers will be required to possess a valid operators license. No one will be rejected for the position that does not possess a class D license. Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self propelled machinery to plow, harrow & fertilize soil or to plant, cultivate spray & harvest crops. Manually prune, plant, cultivate, & harvest fruits, apples. Use hand tools, such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, & knives. Duties include tilling soil & applying fertilizers; transplanting, weeding, thinning, or pruning crops. Construct trellises, repair fences & farm buildings. Picking stones by hand. Set up & operate irrigation equipment. Clear & maintain irrigation ditches. Harvest fruit by hand. Work will include but is not limited to picking apples for fresh marketing and /or processing. A minimum productivity standard applies; 100 bu boxes of fresh market apples per day. See ETA 790/790A for a complete job description.
