Responsibilities
Major Job Activities:
- Oversee secure operations of the enterprise network infrastructure.
- Leads and responds to network changes, network failure and/or modify network diagrams utilizing a variety of network related technologies to include: Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS), Virtual Route Forwarding (VRF), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), and other exterior or interior gateway protocols, VPN, device redundancy protocols, and Quality of Service (QoS) within an (IP Version4/IP Version 6) network utilizing various methods of encryption and transport security.
- Provide oversight in the operation, monitoring, and sustainment of secure routers, switches, firewalls, Out of Band (OOB) management routers, Virtual Private Network (VPN) and access control servers.
- Maintain and document access control lists (ACL).
- Maintain accurate and complete ports, protocols, and services (PPS) and Application Layer Filtering records.
- Maintain and sustain accurate and standardized network diagrams.
- Analyze GCC concepts, architecture and processes for optimization and standardization courses of action.

Working Environment:
- Normal office environment.
- May require support during periods of non-traditional working hours including nights or weekends.
Physical Activities:
Must be able to lift/push/pull 40 lbs. unassisted.
Qualifications
Education / Certifications:
This position supports DCWF Work Role 441 (Advanced) and accordingly per DoD 8140.03 the candidate must possess Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification, OR Juniper Networks Certified Internet Specialist or Associate, OR one of the following DCWF requirements:

- ITIL v4 Foundation certification desired upon hire, required within three months of hiring date.

Experience / Skills:
- 5 years of applicable experience working in a multi-vendor network. Experience with how optimized products and services interrelate in order to ensure NetOps capability integration in support of DoDIN-A mission.
- Current understanding of Army Enterprise LAN/WAN capabilities, tools, procedures, and operations constructs.
- Understands DoD and Army Cybersecurity policies, including DoD Instruction 8500.01, Army Regulation (AR) 25-2 Information Assurance and AR 25-1 Army Information Technology.
- Juniper, Cisco, SolarWinds, Spectrum.
Supervisory / Budget Responsibilities:
Acts in a technical based supervisory capacity.
