The Lead IT Product Owner (PO) role is responsible for managing and communicating the vision and roadmap for products to the Consumer Identity Access Management (CIAM) Scrum team by defining user stories and prioritizing product backlog. The role drives value to the business by building and maintaining a product backlog in collaboration with the CIAM Product Manager, stakeholders and the CIAM Scrum team.

The Lead IT Product Owner (PO) role is responsible for managing and communicating the vision and roadmap for products to the Consumer Identity Access Management (CIAM) Scrum team by defining user stories and prioritizing product backlog. The PO represents the voice of the customer to the team and should articulate WHAT is to be delivered but leave it to the team to determine the HOW. The role drives value to the business by building and maintaining a product backlog in collaboration with the CIAM Product Manager, stakeholders and the CIAM Scrum team. The PO owns the articulation and prioritization of backlog in small increments of value that can be delivered by their team in 2-week iterations.

The Product Owner is expected to be knowledgeable on the CIAM product and underlying platforms that the delivery teams are supporting.  They should have a solid understanding of Identity and Access Management and consumer IAM work area professional concepts/standards, regulations, strategies, and operating standards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Partner with the CIAM Product Manager and senior leadership to develop and align the product roadmap to strategic objectives; 
  • Communicate the feature or product strategy effectively to key stakeholders and team members; 
  • Incorporate stakeholder input into product roadmap while effectively negotiating tradeoffs of conflicting priorities based on value to the business and customer; 
  • Engage with the CIAM Product Manager, stakeholders and delivery team(s) to define and maintain product backlog features and decompose them into user stories with clear acceptance criteria; 
  • Collaborate with the CIAM Product Manager, stakeholders, CIAM team and dependent teams to align on priorities, set commitments and prioritize the backlog; 
  • Articulate and manage the product / sprint backlog that enables the delivery of objectives & key results; 
  • Work day-to-day with the CIAM team to provide CIAM subject matter expertise and clarify customer requirements; 
  • Drive quality and innovation into the team's work product; 
  • Define key metrics for relevant reporting on status; 
  • Own messaging of status and health of the CIAM team’s delivery ensuring that the work meets the customer’s needs; 
  • Facilitate planning activities and sessions such as Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, and Team Breakout sessions during PI Planning; 
  • Follow established guidelines/procedures

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of technical experience
  • 3+ years of Product Owner and/or equivalent technical experience with managing consumer-based identity and access control platforms
  • Experience translating business needs to technical requirements; 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage, influence, negotiate and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders with often conflicting priorities and requirements.
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and uses independent judgment to analyze variable factors and determine the best course of action; 
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in technical design and practical implementation of IT solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner or equivalent certification; 
  • SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager Certification
  • Working knowledge of cyber security concepts, cloud and tools including Identity Access Management (IAM).
  • Experience delivering solutions in both a traditional waterfall and agile environment.
  • Significant experience using Azure DevOps, Jira, or other work management tools.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and facilitating discussions to explore the best possible solutions and possess the ability to lead. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Work at Home Guidance

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:

  • At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested

  • Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

 

$112,400 – $154,900 per year

 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
